Sail along the Nile River on a luxurious cruise, stopping to explore the temples of Philae, Kom Ombo, and Edfu. A trip to Abu Simbel reveals the stunning temples of Ramses II. In Aswan, experience the beautiful landscapes and visit the High Dam. Optional extensions offer relaxation at the Red Sea resorts. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by our travel representative in Egypt and transferred to your hotel for overnight.
After breakfast your private Egyptologist tour guide and driver will pick you up and start your tour. Drive to Giza and visit the Pyramids. See the Great Pyramid, a royal burial chamber and the Sphinx. Lunch on route. Visit the Egyptian Museum; this houses a magnificent collection of Pharaonic antiquities, especially the golden treasures of Tut Ankh Amun. Return to hotel for overnight.(B,L)
After breakfast, transfer to Alexandria, start your tour to Alexandria with visit the Pompey's Pillar
Then continue to the Catacomb (Kom El Shuqqafa), a remarkable example of the Alexandrian blend of Greco-Roman and Egyptian styles carved into 100ft of solid rock.
Visit the Fort and Citadel of Qaitbay built in the 15th century by sultan Ashraf Qait Bey, legend tells the fort was built with stones from the Pharos Lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It now houses a navel museum. Next stop will visit the newly opened Library of Alexandria. Apart from the main library, the complex will include a library for the blind, a young people's library, the Alexandria Conference Center, a science museum, a planetarium, a Restoration and Conservation Laboratory, and the Hall of Fame.

Your included flight arrives in Aswan and then you make your way to the water to board a Nile cruise ship. Freshen up and get ready to be astounded by the sight of the High Dam of Aswan. Learn more about the history of the construction of the dam, and the creation of Lake Nasser, which necessitated the relocation of thousands of citizens and very important monuments. This includes Abu Simbel, which is on the itinerary tomorrow. Continue onwards to Agilkia Island to explore the Temple of Isis at Philae. Return to Aswan and overnight on the ship. (B.L,D)
Enjoy the amazing views as we continue to navigate the Nile on our 5-star cruise ship. Opt-in on an optional excursion to the Abu Simbel complex - to massive temples at the southernmost tip of ancient Egypt's borders. These Nubian Monuments have been around since the 1200s, when it was carved from the mountainside! Stopover at the Temple of Kom-Ombo this afternoon to learn more about the crocodile god Sobek, and the falcon god Haroeris. Overnight on the cruise ship as we make our way to Luxor. (B,L,D)
